Readers say that she’s wonderful and, curious as I am, and loving thrillers as I do, I had to read Verity. I’ve read It Ends with Us and Confess, that I had different opinions (loved one, didn’t like the other). Truth be told, I don’t see myself liking Hoover’s books as a romantic or a drama writer, but the girl is good at thrillers! I’d seen that she worked with Tarryn Fischer (I haven’t read anything by her but Mud Vein is on the list) and considering the psychotic vibe of one of the characters, certainly that Fischer gave a hand, that gave me the more reasons to read something by Fischer. About the thriller: it’s very well constructed, such are the characters - fears, anxiety, malice, love etc. – it’s all very well characterized. The only downside is that’s predictable. “Não se gosta de ninguém de dentro para fora.”   ☘      Review in english       ☘   Quem não conhece a Colleen Hoover?  Falam maravilhas dela e, curiosa como sou, tenho que ler (mais que não seja para ter conhecimento de causa). Ora, li Isto Acaba Aqui e eu pensei que acabou mesmo porque não gostei mas gostei imenso do Confesso.  Bom, tinha que desempatar aqui a coisa. Teve que ser o único thriller dela - Verity, que li em conjunto com a Corina d' O Meu Reino da Noite Verdade seja dita, não me vejo a gostar de Colleen Hoover como escritora de drama ou romântica, mas a moça tem jeito para os thrillers. Vi que trabalhou com uma escritora de thrillers, Tarryn Fischer (que ainda não li se bem que Mud Vein já me anda a piscar o olho há já algum tempo), e considerando a aura psicótica de uma das personagens, que certamente Fischer deu uma ajuda, quero ainda mais ler algo desta última autora.
